CommitPath AI for HubSpot — Setup Guide
Last updated: September 19, 2026
The HubSpot integration keeps CommitPath deals in step with your HubSpot pipeline, in both directions.
What the Integration Does
- Sends qualified deals to HubSpot. A rep sends a deal once with Sync to HubSpot. CommitPath creates the HubSpot deal in your default pipeline with its name, stage, amount, close date, and CommitPath qualification score, and adds the buying committee as contacts associated with the deal.
- Keeps them up to date automatically. After that first sync, changes to the deal's name, stage, value, close date, or buying committee in CommitPath are sent to HubSpot automatically, about a minute after the rep finishes editing. Re-syncing updates the same HubSpot deal; it never creates duplicates.
- Brings HubSpot changes back. When someone changes a synced deal's name, amount, close date, or stage in HubSpot, the deal in CommitPath shows an Updated in HubSpot notice with the old and new values. The rep chooses Apply changes or Keep CommitPath's. Nothing is overwritten without the rep deciding.
What You Need
- A CommitPath AI account (app.commitpath.ai).
- A HubSpot account with deals (any HubSpot plan with CRM deals, including free).
- To connect, you need permission in HubSpot to install apps. In CommitPath, any user can connect; managers and executives can turn automatic sync on or off.
Connect HubSpot
- Sign in to app.commitpath.ai and open the Integrations tab.
- On the HubSpot tile, turn on the switch.
- HubSpot opens in a new window. Choose the HubSpot account to connect, review the permissions below, and click Connect app.
- You'll see "hubspot connected". Close the window; the HubSpot tile in CommitPath now shows Connected.
Send a Deal and Keep It in Sync
- Open a deal in CommitPath, then go to Integrations and click Sync to HubSpot. The tile shows the HubSpot deal id and the stage chosen.
- From then on, edits to that deal sync automatically. The tile shows when the deal last synced and whether it was automatic.
- To pause automatic sync for your whole organization, a manager or executive can switch off Auto-sync changes on the HubSpot tile. Sync to HubSpot keeps working.
How Stages Are Matched
- CommitPath → HubSpot: CommitPath picks the matching stage from your own HubSpot deal pipeline, led by the rep's CommitPath stage (Prospecting, Discovery, Qualified / Proposal, Verbal commit), with AI assistance when available. On automatic syncs the stage is only sent when it changed in CommitPath, so a stage you set in HubSpot isn't overwritten.
- HubSpot → CommitPath: a HubSpot stage is matched to the CommitPath stage with the nearest win probability. Closed Won and Closed Lost suggest marking the deal won or lost.
Data Shared With HubSpot
| Direction | Data |
|---|---|
| CommitPath → HubSpot | Deal name, stage, pipeline, amount, close date, a description with the CommitPath qualification score; buying-committee contacts (name, email, job title) associated with the deal |
| HubSpot → CommitPath | Notifications of changes to deal name, amount, close date, and stage (CommitPath acts only on deals it created and ignores the rest); your HubSpot account id and pipeline stages (to match stages) |
CommitPath does not read or change HubSpot deals it didn't create, companies, tickets, emails, or any other HubSpot data.

Required by HubSpot for connected apps |
Disconnect or Uninstall
- From CommitPath: on the Integrations tab, turn off the HubSpot switch. CommitPath uninstalls the app from your HubSpot account (HubSpot emails you a confirmation), revokes its access, and deletes its stored credentials. Deals already in HubSpot stay there.
- From HubSpot: uninstall CommitPath AI from your HubSpot account's connected apps. CommitPath stops syncing; within about an hour the HubSpot tile shows the connection needs reconnecting.
