CommitPath AI for Slack โ€” Setup Guide

Last updated: September 19, 2026

The Slack integration posts CommitPath AI deal news to the Slack channel your team chooses, so everyone sees pipeline movement without opening CommitPath.

What It Posts

CommitPath only posts messages. It does not read your Slack messages, channels, or members.

What You Need

Connect Slack

  1. Sign in to app.commitpath.ai and open the Integrations tab.
  2. On the Slack tile, turn on the switch.
  3. Slack opens. Choose your workspace, review the permissions, and click Allow.
  4. Back in CommitPath, on the Slack tile, click Set up and enter the channel for updates, for example #sales.

Public channels work right away. For a private channel, first type /invite @CommitPath AI in that channel.

Turn Automatic Updates on or Off

On the Slack tile, Auto-post deal updates controls the automatic stage and won/lost posts for your whole organization. The weekly digest and Notify Slack channel keep working either way.

Permissions Requested

Permission Why
chat:write Post deal updates, the weekly digest, and deal summaries
chat:write.public Post in the public channel you choose without inviting the app first

Disconnect

On the Integrations tab, turn off the Slack switch. CommitPath revokes its Slack access and deletes its stored credentials. You can also remove CommitPath AI from your workspace in Slack's app settings.
